Remodeling

Well, this is week 9 of our summer remodeling. Hopefully in two months I won't be saying our summer-fall remodeling. We haven't really changed that much, just taking care of some much needed maintenance that the previous two owners of our home deferred to us. Since we bought our house through a foreclosure, it was very much AS IS. However, even though we are just doing maintenance, we are changing paint colors and going from a metal roof to shingles, so there is a noticeable difference. After all this time, there had better be!

Cookie Exchange

The first Saturday of December, I hosted my first Cookie Exchange. I had been wanting to do this for years, but things were always too busy. I decided to go ahead and do it anyway this year and it was fun! Lots of ladies attended and the cookies were great! Maybe I will do it again...

Easter 2009

The Easter Bunny was good to the boys this year...even though we dyed the eggs at 8PM the night before. All the "egg hunts" were with plastic eggs this year, which the kids prefer, due to the candy/prizes inside. We went to our new church on Easter morning and the kids made it through the "grown-up" service, so it has been a great day so far. Now, on to lunch at Grandma Jackie's house for Easter dinner!

Our new home!

Ok, I know I will have to go back and detail the chaos that has ensued over the past few months, but this is a biggie. We closed on our new house in Ooltewah, Tennessee earlier today and we are so excited. It will still be 26 days before the boys and I join Jason in TN, but we are making progress!
