22 Days to go!



Jason and I attended Putting on the Ritz this past weekend. This is the annual fundraiser for the West Anniston Foundation. My heels stayed on the entire time and I didn't bust my tail, so all was good.

Today officially ended my Board of Directors' duties/meetings/events for all of my extra-curricular work for October and November. Thank goodness for maternity leave What a relief! :-)

I still have two more weeks of work, assuming Mr. Graham doesn't decide to come early.....

You look great! I am impressed that your heels stayed on all night. That is uber impressive. I have a hard time wearing heels all night and I AM NOT PREGNANT! LOL. I hope Mr. Graham doesn't show up early. I don't want to miss it.

STAR Reading

I hesitated to post this, but it's just so amazing to me! Hunter received what is possibly his last reading assessment in elementary school (5th grade). His scores are incredible, but what makes this so unbelievable to me - is where we were 4 years ago.  In first grade, this child struggled with sight words EVERY NIGHT. Seriously, there were tears 4-5 nights per week. Hour long tear filled, flash card sessions...daily. When I look at where Graham is now in 1st grade...reading/sounding out almost every word in front of him with ease...I truly realize how far Hunter has come! So what these results say (to the best of my understanding) is that Hunter is in the 5th grade, 4th month of school (GP 5.44) and tests at a grade equivalent of 12.9+ (compared to other students nationally). He's in the 98/99th percentile and can comprehend up to 80% of 11.4th grade material. So proud of his progress and so grateful for his 1st grade teacher, Ms. Shavon Diggs, who encouraged me to keep going...

Hunter is Five!!!!!

Hunter turned the big 05 on Saturday, September 26th. He had a Mario Bros themed party. It turned out pretty well. He had a good turn-out at his party, even though it came a flood about the time everyone had to get in their cars. Thanks to all who braved the weather! The kids had a great time and no one got konked in the head while they were trying to break the pinata! :-) Hunter's Cake - I didn't even cry while decorating it!
