The "Little House"

As I'm going back and trying to fill in the gaps in my blog, I cannot forget the "Little House". Our family had a very chaotic few months while Daddy transitioned into his new job with Volkswagen in Chattanooga, TN . I'm not complaining, as we were truly blessed during this time, and every phase of the move was "right on time". I'm a planner, though, and this was just something that couldn't be planned. We needed to sell our house in AL, find a house in TN within 3 months, and get the kids transitioned into a new school, not to mention, I needed to backfill my spot at Solutia, without leaving them high and dry. Well, it all happened. We were able to get a lease purchase agreement on our home without a realtor. This saved us thousands and we are confident that the sale of the house will be finalized within the lease terms. However, the buyers wanted the house right away. Who were we to complain? Houses had been languishing on the market for months. S

More Decisions

Well, when I posted back in July that Jason had decided to leave Honda after 9 years and go to a supplier, I certainly never imagined that I would be posting 5 months later that he was changing jobs again! (Well, actually I am posting this 10 months later, but we left the blog alone for a while. We decided not to notify the entire world that the boys and I were staying alone during the week, so we kept the news off our blog and facebook pages.) Anyway, a week after Jason left Honda and the Friday before he started his new job, Volkswagen called. Now, we had been waiting for that call ALL SUMMER! You see, for my 33rd birthday, Jason and I took a trip to Lookout Mountain and fell in love with Chattanooga. We've always loved Tennessee, and we knew there were many things to do in the area, but when we realized you could be at Rock City one minute, and downtown 10 minutes later, we were sold.
