Fun With Elevators

After attending the Lookouts game, we headed back to the parking deck. We were only parked on the 2nd floor, but Hunter and Graham raced onto the elevator to "push the buttons". Carter and I were already headed up the stairs, so Jason joined them. Carter and I made it to the car and then realized they rest of the group never got off the elevator.

After 10 minutes of Jason having no luck with the buttons and in elevator phone, I called 911. The fire department arrived on scene and has them out in less than 15 minutes from the time I called. We were very grateful!

Graham was very unhappy because he felt like it was his fault, but Jason kept them entertained. Now they enjoy retelling the story.

Cookie Exchange

The first Saturday of December, I hosted my first Cookie Exchange. I had been wanting to do this for years, but things were always too busy. I decided to go ahead and do it anyway this year and it was fun! Lots of ladies attended and the cookies were great! Maybe I will do it again...

Easter 2009

The Easter Bunny was good to the boys this year...even though we dyed the eggs at 8PM the night before. This morning, as I stepped outside to take some things to the car before we left for school/work, I noticed the sliding door on the van was wide open. I started griping to the boys "Good grief, now the battery is going to be dead....AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" They came running out the door to find an "American Bulldog" curled up in Carter's seat. After I got my wits about me, I sent them back in and tried to talk the dog out of the car. Then I tried to entice him out with a hot dog. He just stared at me. Then I got a stick, opened up all the doors and yelled at him to try to scare him out. He just ran behind the seat and hid in the back. When I got really agressive he started quivering his lip like he was going to growl at me. He was scared of me and I of him. All the while, I was documenting th...
