Wii are family!

Well, its finally happened. Thanks to big cousin Collin, Carter has discovered the magic of video games.

No, we haven't deprived him from electronics for the first 5 years of his life, but we stuck with strictly educational, pre-school aged systems. Jason's niece Jocelyn, and her sons Collin & Delsin spent a few days with Grandma Jackie & Grandpa Jim this week. Collin brought his Nintendo Wii & his Playstation Portable (or PSP) with him this week. The graphics are awesome, they are easy to use and the games have fun filled activities like "crashing cops" and burping contests! Whats not to love!?!

Carter (and even Hunter) took to it like pros. Collin waited on the boys to get out of school all day and as soon as my boys walked in the door, they headed straight for the games. We couldn't even get them to eat dinner. Carter completely ignored me when I told him we had to go. I can see now what I have to look forward to!

Carter had recently saved up for his first real purchase, a Lionel Train Crossing Bank. After playing the games, we headed home in the car. Carter informed me he was going to keep saving his money, he wants to buy a Wii! The boys had so much fun with the games, I have to admit, I think I'll add to his funds.

Ahhh, the Wii. I must admit. That is a win- win. Establish ground rules though-before you ever get it. Like laundry must be done, plates clean from dinner...etc. etc... that is what I have had to do with my HUSBAND!!!!!

I have to say WE LOVE THE WII!!!

The boxing made me sore for DAYS.

You can do online gaming- so maybe we will see you online???

When you do get it try out www.gamefly.com

I do agree in keeping it from a kid for a while though- let them be as normal as they can. Playing outside, etc. You have done a great job with them so far, and they are normal!!! ;)

Cookie Exchange

The first Saturday of December, I hosted my first Cookie Exchange. I had been wanting to do this for years, but things were always too busy. I decided to go ahead and do it anyway this year and it was fun! Lots of ladies attended and the cookies were great! Maybe I will do it again...

Hunter is Five!!!!!

Hunter turned the big 05 on Saturday, September 26th. He had a Mario Bros themed party. It turned out pretty well. He had a good turn-out at his party, even though it came a flood about the time everyone had to get in their cars. Thanks to all who braved the weather! The kids had a great time and no one got konked in the head while they were trying to break the pinata! :-) Hunter's Cake - I didn't even cry while decorating it! Daddy and Graham watching the Pinata action! Temporary Tattoos Isaac hitting the Chomp Chomp Pinata Hunters BIG present - A playground that is still sitting in boxes!

Carter for President

So, Saturday afternoon Carter decided he was running for President. This idea came from the book he recently purchased at the school book fair "Spongebob for President". He decided to make flyers saying "Carter for Prezident" and put them all around the house. I went upstairs to fold the laundry and came back downstairs to find his flyer creation station empty. I went outside and saw flyers all around the porch, but no sign of Carter. I called his name inside the house, I called his name outside the house and then I caught a glimpse of him halfway down the driveway. I thought he was heading down the driveway, but he was actually coming back up. I said "What on earth are you doing?" and he said I went to Mr. James' house to ask him to vote for me and he gave me a check. I almost passed out! I thought he had conned our neighbor into giving him a campaing donation. After he made it back to the top of the hill he showed me his notebook where he had writte...
