Well, good or bad, decisions have finally been made! Jason turned in his three week notice to Honda Manufacturing of Alabama today because he has taken a position with an automotive supplier. He starts on August 23 as Quality Manager with Atlantic Tool and Die in Anniston, AL. He is looking forward to the opportunity!

Since the position is located in Anniston, that means we won't have to sell the house and move, which makes things so much easier! Just one major decision to go...

We have decided to put all the boys in Word Alive Academy this fall. Graham is still in daycare there and Hunter did very well in Pre-K there. All three of them have been there for "Summer Fun" this summer and are really enjoying it. They have an excellent program there for K-6 with lots of enrichment courses that aren't available in public schools. Thank you "No Child Left Behind"! The boys are excited and so are we!

Its going to be a busy fall, but I have a wonderful sense of relief now that we have made some big decisions!

hope and pray that all goes well with Jason's job and the boys going to Word Alive. I know that decisions are hard but what relief there is when we allow God to make those decisions and then we are in the middle of His will and not our own. Been there and am there!! Thanks for the update. Tell everyone we said "Hello"

STAR Reading

I hesitated to post this, but it's just so amazing to me! Hunter received what is possibly his last reading assessment in elementary school (5th grade). His scores are incredible, but what makes this so unbelievable to me - is where we were 4 years ago.  In first grade, this child struggled with sight words EVERY NIGHT. Seriously, there were tears 4-5 nights per week. Hour long tear filled, flash card sessions...daily. When I look at where Graham is now in 1st grade...reading/sounding out almost every word in front of him with ease...I truly realize how far Hunter has come! So what these results say (to the best of my understanding) is that Hunter is in the 5th grade, 4th month of school (GP 5.44) and tests at a grade equivalent of 12.9+ (compared to other students nationally). He's in the 98/99th percentile and can comprehend up to 80% of 11.4th grade material. So proud of his progress and so grateful for his 1st grade teacher, Ms. Shavon Diggs, who encouraged me to keep going...

Hunter is Five!!!!!

Hunter turned the big 05 on Saturday, September 26th. He had a Mario Bros themed party. It turned out pretty well. He had a good turn-out at his party, even though it came a flood about the time everyone had to get in their cars. Thanks to all who braved the weather! The kids had a great time and no one got konked in the head while they were trying to break the pinata! :-) Hunter's Cake - I didn't even cry while decorating it!
